RenewICT Foundation is dedicated to environmental sustainability and digital inclusion. We strive to reduce e-waste by promoting the recycling and repurposing of electronic devices, minimizing the environmental impact of discarded technology. By providing refurbished ICT equipment to underserved communities, we help bridge the digital divide, ensuring equitable access to technology and the internet for education, employment, and personal growth.
Education is at the heart of our mission. We raise awareness about responsible e-waste disposal and the benefits of recycling ICT equipment, encouraging individuals and businesses to adopt sustainable practices. Additionally, we offer digital literacy training to help people develop essential technology skills, empowering them to navigate the digital world safely and effectively.

My journey of working with disadvantaged individuals began early, shaping both my career and personal life. At 19, I embarked on this path as a welfare assistant, working with people with disabilities in a business service environment. Balancing this role with my studies, I pursued a degree in computer science and psychology, which laid the foundation for my future work. From the beginning, I felt a profound commitment to support those in need, driven by a desire to break down barriers and create opportunities for marginalized communities.
Alongside my professional life, I had an active sporting career as a world champion disabled swimmer for Australia. When I moved to the UK, I continued my success in the pool, winning four gold medals and breaking two world records while competing for the UK. Though I retired from competitive swimming in 1990, my sporting achievements reinforced my belief in the power of perseverance and hard work—values that I would carry forward in my efforts to support others.
I faced significant challenges in Queensland entering the job market, which eventually led to my return to Western Australia. Upon my return, I found work with TADWA (Technology Assisting Disability WA), an organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities access home modifications and computer technology. My role involved refurbishing equipment and coordinating computer donations, ensuring that those in need had access to essential resources. It was here that I met my second wife, and soon after, we started a family.
After ten years with TADWA, I moved on to a new challenge, joining the newly established National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). This Commonwealth government program aimed to provide funding and support to eligible people with disabilities. I dedicated nine years to this role, helping to improve the lives of countless individuals before retiring this year. My time at the NDIA was both rewarding and humbling, as I witnessed the difference that access to resources and services could make for people facing significant challenges.
Throughout my 40-year career, I have remained committed to supporting people with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups. A personal motto that has guided me through the years is, “To be average scares the hell out of me!” This philosophy has driven me to continually strive for excellence, whether in my professional endeavours or in my charitable work.
As a father of 3, I am looking to the future, and am excited to be involved with the RenewICT Foundation. This initiative allows me to continue my charitable work, using my network and experience to promote the responsible recycling of information and communication technology (ICT). Through this work, we aim to support disadvantaged individuals by providing access to technology, a crucial tool for education, employment, and social inclusion in today’s world.
My journey has always been driven by a passion for technology and a deep desire to help others. With a background in electronics and multimedia, I’ve spent over a decade honing my skills, particularly in refurbishing and recycling electronic equipment. Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate not just the technical aspects of my work, but the profound impact that technology can have on people’s lives—especially those who might find it challenging to access or use it.
Throughout my career, I’ve become increasingly aware of the barriers that technology can present, particularly for the elderly and individuals from neurodivergent backgrounds. These groups often face difficulties in navigating the fast-paced digital world, but I’ve witnessed firsthand how the right guidance, mentorship, and support can transform these challenges into opportunities.
My passion for helping the elderly with technology has driven me to offer support, whether it’s teaching them how to use a smartphone, setting up simple tech systems to stay connected with family, or helping them understand the digital tools that make everyday life easier. I believe that technology can be an empowering force, and I’ve made it my mission to bridge the gap between those who struggle with it and the world of possibilities it can offer.
Mentoring has also become an essential part of my work, especially when it comes to supporting younger people with neurodivergent backgrounds. I know how crucial it is to provide a space where they feel understood and supported. Through one-on-one mentorship, I’ve helped young people build confidence, learn new skills, and find their voice in the world of technology.
Now, as I embark on the journey of founding a non-profit organization, my mission is clear: to continue empowering people through technology, to create inclusive spaces where everyone has the tools and support they need to thrive, and to foster a community where learning and growth are accessible to all, regardless of age or background.
This organization is not just about technology; it’s about human connection, empathy, and creating opportunities for individuals to succeed and feel valued in our increasingly digital world.
I am experienced hospitality and customer service professional with a strong background in social media coordination, hotel management, and customer relations. With over a decade of experience across Australia, the UK, and Sri Lanka, I have developed a reputation for exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.
I hold a range of qualifications, combined with hands-on experience in guest services, project coordination, and digital media, allowing me to blend creativity with customer engagement strategies effectively. I manage content strategies, liaison with marketing and design teams, and ensure project goals are met efficiently. Previously, I had held key positions at prominent hotels in WA, excelling in front office operations, team leadership, and guest experience enhancement. Beyond hospitality, I am a loving mother of three, which has only served to strengthen my problem-solving skills, adaptability, and ability to communicate effectively. I am highly regarded for my ability to build and maintain professional relationships, work independently or as part of a team, and handle high-pressure situations with professionalism. I am eager to bring my expertise and enthusiasm to a charitable customer-focused environment.
As Secretary I seek to add my flair for digital media and marketing strategy with my desire to contribute back to those who are disadvantaged and not able to maximise the advantages of access to the digital worlds we now live in.

With a strong background in financial management, Anh specializes in grant funding, auditing, and acquittal processes, ensuring organisations maintain transparency and accountability in their financial operations. She is passionate about financial sustainability, helping not-for-profits build long-term resilience through responsible budgeting, compliance, and strategic financial planning.
As a mother of three, including a child who is an NDIS Participant, Anh has firsthand insight into the challenges faced by families and communities reliant on social services. This drives her commitment to ethical financial stewardship, ensuring funds are managed effectively to maximize their impact and support those in need.
Born and raised in Sri Lanka, I moved to Perth, Australia, in 2006 with my wife, bringing with me a lifelong passion for technology and a deep commitment to giving back. From a young age, I’ve felt a responsibility to help others and have made it a priority in my life. Over the years, I’ve donated more than 300 computers to those less fortunate, as well as to schools and community centers, hoping to empower individuals with the tools they need to learn, grow, and succeed.
I firmly believe in the principle that “reuse is better than recycle”—whenever possible, I aim to find ways to extend the life of tech and make it useful for someone who needs it. This approach has allowed me to make a sustainable impact by giving old technology a new purpose, reserving recycling only for items that have truly outlived their usefulness.
As a father to three wonderful children, I am grateful every day for the opportunities we have. My wife and I are committed to teaching our kids about empathy and helping them understand how fortunate we are. Showing them the value of compassion and sharing what we have is one of the most meaningful experiences in my life.
I’ve always been a “tech guy” at heart, and sharing that passion with others has become one of my greatest joys. Through small contributions, I believe we can make a significant difference, not only in our own lives but in the lives and careers of those around us.
I was born in rural Western Australia with Cerebral Palsy affecting my right side, but that has never stopped me from living a full and active life. I grew up in the country and later moved to Perth, where I completed my schooling. As a child, I loved horse riding and athletics, and I was proud to compete for WA in the National Disability Games.
Helping others has always been at the heart of my career. With the right support, I transitioned from the business service model into open employment, becoming my own boss. I worked as a cleaner and later as a courier, even delivering flowers in Perth’s Central Business District. Although I had to retire early for health reasons, I remain committed to making a difference.
I am fortunate to have a strong network of family and friends and have been able to use my NDIS funding to live life on my own terms—making my own choices and finding ways to support others. Over the years, I have served on various consultative committees and management boards as a representative for people with disabilities. Advocacy is a key part of who I am, and I take every opportunity to speak up for others. I also have a strong passion for information and communication technology, recognizing its potential to empower people and create opportunities for greater inclusion.
I believe technology has the power to transform lives. My goal is not just to provide equipment but to create opportunities for people to enhance their independence, education, and employment prospects. By sharing my own experiences, I hope to inspire others to overcome barriers and make the most of the resources available to them.
Through my work with the charity, I am committed to building a more inclusive society where everyone, regardless of ability, can benefit from technology and participate fully in today’s digital world.
